Workout of the Day: Totally Toned Triceps

Who doesn’t want tight toned triceps to show off in tank tops and sleeveless dresses? Great arms make an excellent accessory, look no further than Kelly Ripa’s sculpted upper body every morning on Live with Regis and Kelly.

So how do you get those amazing arms? Well triceps muscles actually make up most of our arms (3 triceps muscles versus 2 bicep muscles, makes sense:) so working those muscles is an essential part to waving goodbye to flesh flags. (You know what these are, that’s when you arm keeps waving even though you’ve stopped)

  • Grab a set a 3,5 or 8 lb dumbbells and try these three exercises to tone your triceps!
  • Aim for 15-20 reps. Repeat all three exercises two times through or three times through if you’re a more advanced exerciser.

FUN: With just a set of dumbbells you can complete these quick exercises in the comfort of your own living room.

RESULTS: Each one of these exercises targets your muscles in a different way with a different kind of resistance. That means your muscles never get used to the exercises and that boosts results.

REWARDING: You’ll feel tight triceps worthy of  sleeveless tops and dresses! Go out and treat yourself to something that will show off those arms!
